Robosapien v2 not working after rewiring
Hi all, my robosapien v2 stopped working because of the wiring insolation problem so i got it rewired, after it got rewired it worked perfectly for a day but stopped working again after that day. Any ideas?

So the other day i got a robosapien v2 its fine and all that but when i play the sound wont come on i have tryed everything to fix it i might open it up but anything to help the robots sound come back on without taking it apart i love this robot. Robosapien v2 not color sensing
Hi, I got my rs v2 completely repaired and rewired, it stopped working for a while even after rewiring but i got it checked again, and it is working as new now, except for one thing, it is not color sensing at all and when you wave infront of it it is supposed to respond but mine just keeps on saying "tracking". It doesnt even recognize its bowling ball. I was wondering that if anyone had a solution. Thanks!

V2 reconstruct
Hello to all fellow techies and enthusiasts. I found a used, broken red V2 left by a trash can around my block. It was raining and its right arm and left leg was broken. Now I am not the type of guy to bring trash home but something inside of me just could not leave such a beautiful robot there so I brought it home and put it next to the heater to dry up. Now I have given myself the task of rebuilding this guy and making it fully functional again. I have a good understanding of electronics and basic knowledge of industrial controls as I work in the alarm system industry but my knowledge of robotics is limited. Can someone please point me in the right direction on how to even begin this project? In the meantime, I will begin the structural repair and rewiring. Thanks a million guys!!!

Robosapien V2 with a fault
Well we was given a Robosapien v2 with a fault so after watching a youtube video I set about dismantling the robot and very quickely found the fault all the wiring insulation on the two looms from the legs is crumbling so it looks like some workshop time is needed to make some new looms up, It would appear that this wiring problem is common so will make the new looms and see how we go.

Is this a common problem of the insulation crumbling, I have searched the net and have found loads of posts about this issue and i also watched a few youtube videos about the problem, I just cannot understand why the wiring is crumbling so bad you normally only see this on very old electronics not fairly modern stuff, I am wondering if it would be worth me making some new looms up and offering them to members on her at a small cost.

robbosapien v2 still won't power up after wiring repairs
hello, everyone.I have successfully rewired to rsv2s but this recent one i have acquired has a crazy problem.When i first got the robot he would not power up.So i tore him down and saw what i expected,flaking wiring insulation.So i went on ahead a rewired him everything was going along good until it was time to power him up.When i attempted to power him up he still would not fire up.However, if a jump the 9v spot to the number 3 spot on the motor header 1,he will go through his self booting routine and at the end of the routine he will say brain batteries low.powering down.I have double ckecked everything in my wiring and all is well.I think i have a bad motor board but i want to see what you guys say about this.ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED AND THANKS IN ADVANCE, JR2K2.

left wrist clicking
Hello everyone,JR2K2 here with another weird situation.This time i have a bot with a loud clicking noise in his left wrist,when he does different animations.Funny thing is it does not do it all the time,however if his left wrist is manually turned all the way to the right it won't make any noise,but when his left wrist is turned all the way to the left it will make a loud rythmatic clicking noise during certain animations,but it always varies and never the same animations that it will make that noise.It is always random,the clicking sound that is.Now if the batteries are low it won't make this sound at all only does it on some fresh ,strong batteries.I have sucessfully rewired him and none of the wires are crossed this time,like the last one was(*see forum thread-"robosapien v2 still won't power up after wiring repairs").I also replaced the entire left arm/hand off of the spare bot i have.Still does the same thing.......i am now leaning towards a bad motor board or maybe a bad main board.Please tell me what you guys think and again,THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT-JR2K2.

Hi, My wife brought home a garage sale V2. Power button activated it, but died in seconds. Changed all the batteries with brand new ones and no he stands there like a broken robot without responding to any button combination. IT IS NOT MY FAULT!

Robosapien V1 left lower arm not responding
Hi, My son was just given a Robosapien V1 and it seems to work for the most part, except the left lower arm does not respond to the red basic commands. This means the arm will not rotate and the hand will not open or close. It does when I move the arm manually. I have put brand new batteries in, and the eye flashes when we press the control button, and the little orange light in the hand lights up when the button is pushed, but the arm just wont move. (It will move from the shoulder, but not from the elbow) Can anyone help please? Or is there a repair shop (we are located in Ireland) - he is quite upset. Many thanks

Robosapien v2 required, afraid to turn on
Hello. I got an RSV2 A few weeks back. Unaware of the wiring errors they have, I turned it on, and learned the hardway. Luckily for me, I did know however, that when a power button stops working, you have about a minute before your screwed, and I got the batteries out in time. I recently yet got another one, from somebody who claims to have redone all the wires. I realized first it smells like stale burning plastic. I opened it up and yes, most of the wiring is indeed not peeling (only one was) but there is gluegun glue everywhere, and I am unsure if that is okay or not. Also, the cAsing has cracks and some of the screw holes broke apon re opening of the case. Any any advice? I will be adding pictures I took of the front and motherboard without the case on soon. Please help. Richie
